Ways You Can Volunteer with Pukar

1. Emotional Support         Volunteer

Join our helpline team to provide a safe space for those struggling with their mental health. Through active listening and non-judgmental support, you can help someone feel heard and valued during difficult times.

2. Team SAFER

Our Team SAFER is a dedicated group of volunteers that works to make who play a crucial role in creating a compassionate and supportive community. Each letter in SAFER represents an essential aspect of our mission—Social Media & Content Development, Awareness & Outreach, Fundraising & Partnerships, Engagement & Training, and Research & Resource Development. Whether you are helping someone feel heard, designing impactful awareness campaigns, or building vital mental health resources, your efforts contribute to a safer, more understanding world. As a Team SAFER volunteer, you are not just giving your time—you are changing lives.

  • Social Media & Content Development: Help us spread awareness about mental health and suicide prevention by managing our social media platforms, creating engaging content, and sharing stories that inspire and educate.

  • Awareness & Outreach: Conduct workshops, organize events, and engage with communities to reduce stigma and encourage open conversations about mental health.

  • Fundraising & Partnerships: Support Pukar by helping us build relationships with donors, organize fundraising campaigns, and collaborate with organizations to expand our reach and impact.​

  • Engagement & Training: Connect with mental health advocates and other organizations for knowledge exchange and strategy sharing. Assist in training new volunteers and providing ongoing peer support. Promote training sessions on mental health first aid, suicide prevention, and active listening.

  • Research & Resource Development: Assist in creating informative resources, blogs, and research-based content to enhance mental health literacy and provide valuable guidance to those seeking help.

If you are an empathetic listener, an Indian resident over 21, and can give a minimum of 4 hours a week, you can volunteer with us.
