About Pukar

Helpline Support

Our free emotional support helpline provides confidential and nonjudgmental support to anyone in need. It is staffed by trained volunteers who are committed to helping those seeking emotional support. We started the helpline in August 2023 with over 20 volunteers, and since then, we have supported more than 700 callers. We continue to grow and expand our services and our team.

Trainings/ Workshops

We provide extensive training to our volunteers and organize workshops on mental health and suicide prevention awareness for corporates and groups. By fostering a deeper understanding of mental health issues, we aim to build a community that is more compassionate and proactive in addressing mental health needs.

Awareness & Advocacy

We conduct monthly wellness dialogue sessions with mental health experts to educate people on various aspects of mental well-being. We also organize community events to bring people together to raise awareness about mental health.

Pukar Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading mental health awareness by equipping people to support themselves and others in their mental health needs.

We believe that confidential, non-judgmental emotional support can help people express their feelings & unburden themselves, releasing the pressure of the situation they might be facing.

We started Pukar Helpline in August 2023 with one simple but powerful belief—no one should have to struggle alone.

Mental health challenges and the rising rate of suicides are not just personal issues; they affect society as a whole. You don’t need to be a mental health professional to support someone in distress—each of us has the power to listen, to be present, and to offer kindness.

With this belief, we provide emotional support to anyone going through a tough time. As suicide prevention helpline responders, we’ve seen firsthand how deeply people need to be heard—not with advice or judgment, but with understanding and empathy.

We strive to make mental health support accessible to all, ensuring no one feels alone in their struggles.
